The Iowa quarter depicts a one-room schoolhouse with a teacher and her students planting a tree. The design is based on "Arbor Day," a painting by Grant Wood, who was born near Anamosa, Iowa. He spent his career spreding the small-town values, which he shows in his paintings which are very well known. A simple cut-out, but I have found school teacher to be partial to this quarter. I finish this cut-out with a Sterling Silver Pendant Bail which will fit on necklaces that are 3mm or smaller in thickness.
