This pair of Michigan Post Earrings are cut directly from the inside of the 2004 Michigan Quarter. A common question is how sturdy are they. I use a special cut in the shape of a pyramid at the Mackinac Bridge which leaves about a 1/16" on the reverse side giving the look of a small line (The Bridge) on the front and leaving a sturdy amount on the back. They are then finished with sterling silver earring posts and a Sterling Silver ear nut. I now also with every pair include a leftover quarter with a sterling ring through the top to wear as a pendant.
