This eagle is from the US Half Dollar coin. A new technigue I have been learning over the past couple years called the pyramid cut had to be used on this eagle. The Four corners of the eagle are cut at an angle so there is no coin revel in the front, but a thick portion all the way to the back. This gives the eagle the appearance of floating inside the coin. I finish this cut out with a large rabbit ear bail(shown) that will fit most any size necklace.
